But there is more to helping a victim in a medical emergency … especially with the healthcare system we have.
Act Without Fear or Confusion To Help Someone In A Medical Emergency
It prepares you for the times you wish will never happen but unfortunately DO occur.
Get Vital Skills To Help Friends, Spouses Or Colleagues In An Emergency Or When Medical Emergencies Happen
When seconds count and your heart races, you need to KNOW and TAKE the right actions to get your loved one, relative, friend or colleague the help they need. You have heard of incidents happening where no one knew what to do which was so tragic. You don't want to be in a position where that happens especially where getting to the hospital quickly may not be possible. You want to be prepared.
Sometimes you feel that you don't need any information. After all, "na something go kill pesin!"
Or you can say "God forbid that anything will happen to me or anyone I know!" That is all well and good but I promise you, you will fill differently if you were in such a position.
Is it not better to have the knowledge and skills in case something does happen? Isn't it better to be prepared to act with confidence to help anyone, especially someone you know?
The knowledge and skills you get may be useful now and they may be useful down the line, say in 3 years but if a situation arises, it will make a difference. It can also be knowledge useful to help another adult, either a loved one or a stranger, wouldn't that be amazing? The ability to come to the aid of someone in need? The possibility of saving a life?
The probability is there that neither you or anyone you know will be in a medical emergency, after all, you haven't been in one till now. Even if it happens, you figure they are minor and can be handled easily.
But heartbreakingly, there could be major incidents that require you to recognize it fast and act with confidence within seconds. You read the news and the blogs, you know such situations arise, isn't it better to plan for the possibility and learn all you need to know to act with confidence?
You want the knowledge and skills on the small chance that something may go wrong. You hope it doesn't but if it does, you are prepared.
Don't think that by focusing on it, you are inviting it into your life. No!.
We could go on and on but what these examples tell you is that you plan ahead if such situations arise. Ensuring you are prepared to handle medical emergencies is also one such example..
You can't act like you know everything. You never stop learning. Staying alive to live your dreams is important and you should do everything in your power to safeguard that.
At the core of learning is making sure you never have to look back with regret, you want to know you did all you could because you were prepared. You never want to say "Oh! Had I known..."
Sometimes you think, "Where is this information?", "Where is the time to learn all I need to know". Don't worry, that's where we come in.
We have made it easy for you to get the information you need to help your anyone.

What makes us different
Teaching First Aid is not just what we do at First Aid by Levande. It is personal to the Lead Trainer, and Founder, Dr. Tosin Osikoya.
She started teaching First Aid 5 years ago after she had to help a son through a medical emergency and saw there was need to make the knowledge and skills available to people.
What we teach about First Aid is relevant to Nigerians and cuts across some of the more common accidents and injuries she has managed while in clinical management.
The best thing is to prevent an accident or illness taking place. The next best thing is to quickly and calmly recognise it and act to help. This is what First Aid by Levande is about.
Prevention costs time and money but treatment also costs time and money. Which do you prefer? For the price of this course, it translates to less than N25 every day for the next 3 years. Wouldn't you say the knowledge and skills would be worth it?

This is what I want for you too because I know how important that parents know what to do in such situations.
I want you to have the confidence to care, so enroll and start learning.
