Definitions of CPR, First Aid and Use of AED
CPR, First Aid and the Use of AED training is a course that teaches individuals the skills and knowledge needed to provide emergency care including CPR, First Aid, and the use of an AED. The goal of the training is to help individuals respond effectively in emergency situations and potentially save a life.
CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is a life-saving technique used to restore blood circulation and breathing in a person who has suffered a cardiac arrest.
First Aid is a set of emergency measures that are performed on an injured or ill person until they can receive further medical care.
AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is a device used to shock the heart back into normal rhythm during a cardiac arrest.
Course Duration
It depends on the training format. Our trainings are either wholly physical (in-house or on-site) or a blended format. Blended format means that the training is both online and physical (in our office).
For wholly physical trainings, it a day’s training. If it blended, you have access to the online sessions for 6 months but it can be completed in a day. The physical skills session part takes place for about 3 -4 hours in our office.
Any Requirements?
There are no specific barriers, in terms of academic qualifications, skills or experience to entry to the first aid and CPR training. This training is open to everyone, irrespective of academic discipline or background.
How much is the training?
