In partnership with NewMumsHub, First Aid by Levande demonstrates Infant CPR to raise awareness of the lifesaving skills that parents and caregivers need to ensure that their child or children in their care can be resuscitated if the unexpected happens.
CPR means Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and it comprises the techniques employed to bring an unconscious, not breathing casualty to life. Infant CPR shows the techniques that are focused on infants.
A baby could stop breathing for a number of reasons but a particular one is SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) which happens in babies less than 1 year but more commonly between 2 – 4 months of age.
